Metadata inspector
Drop in a photograph or a document and see what it says about you. Author, software, camera model, serial number, and the coordinates it was taken at.
What does your file say about you?
PDF, JPEG or PNG. Free, no signup, and no credit is charged.
This one does send your file. Unlike the PDF tools on this site, reading metadata properly needs exiftool, which is not something a browser can do. Your file is held in memory for the length of the request, never written to disk, and gone when the response ends. It is not stored, not logged and not used for training.
A photograph taken on a phone usually carries the exact position it was taken at, accurate to a few metres. Some messaging apps strip it and some do not; most email clients, chat tools and file shares pass it through untouched. Nothing in the picture shows it, which is why it travels so well.
